הייתי כל כך דופק לממש את חזיית הספורט החדשה שלי בלד על חולצת המרתון החדשה שלי דיסני? לבשתי סוודר עם שרוול ארוך חם על זה ולא הבנתי עד שהגעתי הביתה מהריצה שלי. יש לי חזיות ספורט ורודים אחרים, אבל זה מעולם לא קרה לפני כן?

BOO! התרגשתי גם מהטיי הטכנולוגי של שרוול הארוך הזה (נניח שחמש פעמים מהר). אני אוהב כשמירוצים מחלקים טיז טק! נזק זה נגרם הבוקר על שישה מילר. אני מניח שאני מזיע טון אפילו בקור!

We woke up at 4am to get to the airport for our first flight. I made an egg sandwich to eat for breakfast as some point.

Travel tip: You can opt out of the naked scanner for a pat down. They’re not  bad and actually make me feel better than that controversial x-ray machine.

Travel tip: try to eat the grossest smelling foods you can so no one tries to strike up a conversation with you.

Travel idea reality: Strangers ask why you’re taking pictures of said food and end up becoming your new best friend. good thing no one can have too lots of friends (especially the girl with 2 total).

Rest of breakfast – cherries! They were incredibly cheap in Florida and I stocked up (by eating 6 pounds in 24 hours).

Travel tip: get a massive Dunkin Donuts iced coffee.

Travel idea reality: get up to pee 3 times during a 1.5 hour flight.

We made it to Atlanta with a few hours to kill so I walked around in a worn out stupor. I ended up saving my lunch for the plane (see smelly food travel tip).

Travel tip: Bring a cute person along to lean on so you can sleep.

Travel idea reality: Wake up to find you’re leaning into the aisle, have thrown your neck pillow 3 rows down and have drool stains on your shirt.

Travel tip: pack P&J for a snack.

Travel idea reality: I packed my PB&J in a paper towel and put it in a baggie with cashews and peanuts. It made the nuts soggy Fail.

Our fridge was incredibly bare when we got home…

So after a great 3 mile walk to decompress we hit up the grocery store. הרבה יותר טוב!

Then, I met up SkinnyRunner for a top secret meeting.

She jammed out of there super fast because my cold is disgusting. luckily we were right next door to Mother’s Market so I go a cold Buster drink with carrot juice, ginger, garlic and cayenne. It was surprisingly good!

This drink is the real reason I have orange hair

Finally after blowing my nose 892 times I headed to my brother’s science fair.

He won first place!

Ben showed up too!

Since we were in the area we grabbed Chinese take out with  my family. I got the chicken soup, but stole a bunch of Ben’s combo.

Okay, this morning I woke up feeling better, but not 100%. I also did a big ol’ weird dream that my pal Lisa and I were in vegas – Lisa, up for it?

Anyways, Saturday is my long Run day. I look forward to this day all week. It’s my special quiet time and I feel super for the rest of the day. I really wanted to get out and do 12 today so I did my pre-run rituals and headed out the door.

A mile in I knew today was not my day. I ran out 3 miles to see if I started to feel better, but decided not to frustrate myself for 2 hours and turn back. I ran 3, walked 3 and went home to eat.

I could have tried to push through and ended up huffing and puffing and cussing at myself for 12 miles, but I knew that today was not going to be a pleasant run and I should try again when I feel better. I’m “babying” myself today and we’ll see how I feel tomorrow.

It’s never easy to turn back home early after you’ve set out for a long run, but sometimes it’s the smart thing to do.

Question: When you’re sick do you “power through” or give yourself time to rest?

Yes, it’s kinda risky to buy 36 of something when you have no concept if it’s great or not. I figured I should try one right away to simplicity my mind. They are only half as great as Vitatops, however likewise expense only half as much so it kinda evens out?

After Costco I went to get my half marathon bib. I’m not super excited about this race (because I requirement a break) however this would be where I would do my solo run tomorrow anyways. I’m going to treat like a long run full of new buddies that don’t want to talk to me.

Since I only realized the race is tomorrow this morning somebody asked if I’d be carb packed in time. Oh bit readers, you understand I’m always carb locked as well as packed in situation I’m going to die tomorrow.

I like eating salty carbs before a race as well as today I went with Orville SmartPop. It hit all my snack needs – crunchy, salty as well as a great deal of it (I requirement volume when I’m a snack monster!).

I’m doing a partnership with Orville Redenbacher this month as well as will be talking with their spokesperson Bernie from the biggest Loser next week!

There was a lot of delicious leftovers and pie throughout the day. I love Thanksgiving.

Last night I wore my new incredibly soft cape coat to a bonfire. A lot of people at the party gave me compliments on it and I got a few questions by means of instagram on it.

It’s not from Stitchfix – as lots of of you asked.

Actually Ben gotten it for me randomly in South Dakota at a small shop. It’s incredibly warm and comfy and I’m probably going to live in it now! This white cape coat is similar.

Speaking of things I dig based on the name… Ginga ninja!

But, I ended up enjoying an “adult” hot chocolate instead.

This morning I headed out for a run. It is stunning here and I’m soaking up every minute.

If you’re been reading this lil ol’ running / eating / random blog for much more than a hot minute you might be aware that I’m obsessed with iced coffee.

The thing is, I got obsessed with Dunkin Donuts iced coffee when I lived in Maryland for a minute a few years back. Then, winter season hit and I brought my Mexican ass back to SoCal where it belongs. but there were NO Dunkin Donuts in SoCal!??!!?&!%$!!

Until recently that is… specifically this past September. now my beloved Dunkin is actually just a few miles from my parents’ house! כן!!

So, I’ve been looking forward to this day for years. It took me this long to get a Dunkin coffee because I typically visit them in the afternoon and haven’t been feeling the IC past 3pm as of late.

I finally got my precious Dunkin today!

But wait – there’s more.

Since I talk about Dunkin Donuts non-stop my fam assumed that I liked their donuts. לא. I don’t really think they have the best donuts actually, which is very sad.

Of course my lil brother didn’t believe me. and because I am viewing him today we chose to do a taste test comparison of Dunkin Donuts and my local Donut Shop’s treats.

First, I stopped at my favorite local donut shop and purchased a glazed and a cake donut. Then, I hit up DD and got the same.

Four donuts is too numerous for one person?

I DO-NUT give a fudge.

But, first we must hydrate. I’m using the leftover mint from yesterday’s Watermelon Detox green Smoothie to fancy up my water. So refreshing!

Last night I prepared overnight oats with protein powder.

In the jar: 1/2 cup oats, scoop protein powder, chia seeds, almond milk, peanut powder.

I ate these before my run because I had a late start.

I guess all the social media updates on the east coast storm confused me because I way overdressed for my run. long sleeves were not necessary.

After my run I had a few errands to accomplish. I stopped at Costco and picked up a few things including a container of blueberries.

Then, I proceeded to eat the whole enormous thing! I’m only sad because now I don’t have blueberries for tomorrow. BOO.

What to eat when you want to eat a lot:

1. Popcorn.

2. Blueberries or other berry.

3. tiny tomatoes.

4. Carrots or celery.

5. Arctic Zero.

6. A big smoothie.

7. Frozen fruit – grapes are a good one.

8. Roasted broccoli. <- I made this for my fam this weekend and they loved it. 9. Jicima. 10. RICE. <- You can eat hundreds of them. My day to day uniform this month includes my Costco pull-over. I get a question about it whenever I wear it on Instagram. It’s from Costco. זה הכל. I also found these multi-seed crackers from TJ’s. A serving size is 35. Perfect.
